As part of the LIFE RESTORE for MDD project, the Duna-Dráva National Park Directorate is organising the 2ⁿᵈ Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve Day. Join us for a day of environmental education, interactive activities and community engagement focused on preserving the unique biodiversity of the UNESCO Five-country Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube.
Programme highlights:
- Educational Exhibits: Learn about the Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve, its ecosystems, and ongoing conservation efforts.
- Interactive Workshops: Engage with topics such as composting, energy efficiency, clean air practices, and waste recycling.
- Family-Friendly Activities:
– Natural science games and quizzes
– Skill-building challenges for children
– Traditional folk games and an “insect puzzle” station
– ands-on exploration of 3D-printed animal skulls and specimens - Mini Zoo: Discover local wildlife up close.
- Second-Hand Book Fair: Browse eco-themed books and enjoy a quiet reading area.
Additonally, local and regional environmental protection groups, nature conservation experts, and partners of the LIFE RESTORE for MDD project will showcase their work and provide resources for sustainable living.
