The Slovenian celebration of the UNESCO Five-country Biosphere Reserve Mura–Drava–Danube will take place on 14 September 2026 at Otok ljubezni (Island of Love) in Ižakovci.
Organised as part of the LIFE RESTORE for MDD and LIFE-Boat 4 Sturgeon projects, the event will celebrate the Mura Biosphere Reserve with educational workshops for schoolchildren, presentations and activities for the public, a meeting of mayors from the biosphere reserve, the release of young sterlet sturgeons and an evening film screening.
